Ready, Aim, Aspire

“The greater danger for most of us
lies not in setting our aim too high
and falling short;
but in setting our aim too low,
and achieving our mark.”

How true that is.

But one needs extreme motivation to get that high aim.

We could benefit from getting used to the expansive beings we are. This begins with our choice to become more attuned to our energy and intuition. We discover thigns all along. There may be no such thing as finite knowledge.

How true it is, and how plentiful the resource we have for aspiring motivation when we visit the silence in ourselves long enough to hear it.
Have an outstanding week Alexys!

Uber,
Very true.

Haney,
Indeed motivation always comes into play as well as the angle.

Liara,
Becoming attuned to our inner aim eventually coincides with how we approach our target.

Harmony,
Our source and resources are endless as are the avenues to access them. Without inspiration and motivation, we stand still in doubt.

Have a wonderful week.

This is really a great quote. It seems to me that the large majority of people get caught in this trap. I think it is either because they are content with mediocrity and don't want to aim higher, or more often they do not have faith in themselves and do not believe they can actually pull it off. For the second category, your attitudes and beliefs about yourself can be changed by reading the right books, but first you must make the decision to.

My sense of it is that during my lifetime, in general, as a society, we've lowered the mark in pretty much every field of aspiration except making money.

Zopito,
I think you've hit the nail on the head. Mediocrity cripples the spirit of striving for greatness. Mainly because people are content with the status quo.

Thanks for sharing your insight.

Paul,
I think like Zopito mentioned, mediocrity plays a major role as does one's inability to desire higher goals, somewhat brought on by the reliance of technology.
