As they say, "all roads lead to Rome." We each forge our path. The learning is never-ending. True freedom does not translate into doing what you please with no regard to consequences. Rather, freedom is re-discovered, redefined and realigned throughout your journey. This involves taking responsibility for choices.
Max said that your tried to join SlogBite, but could not load the page. I wanted to come by and see what you were all about. After all, I have seen you quite frequently at Max. Also, you were #444 on my Big Bang meme.
Anyways, I would love to have you join SlogBite. Max said that you thought it might be a MAC issue. My daughter has a MAC and she had no problems loading SlogBite and navigating the site.
Would you mind trying again. I would love to add Soul Meets World to the SlogBite family.
Hi Mel, I am so excited to be a part of SlogBite. Sometimes the page does not load, (probably browser issues) but today the computer gods were smiling on me. Thanks to you and Max.
Yes, it is... I wonder if the purpose for our lives is really to learn, nothing more, nothing less... Maybe the lessons are random, and it is the just the expeience that we came here to get, for whatever reason.
Annie, We are here to learn - and love - and learn more - and love again and on and on. I don't think anything is random. It is part of the master plan.
It amazes me we were on parallel wavelengths for the subject of our last posts. Then again, I admit nothing and everything ceases to amaze me. You are a blessing!
Hi Alexys, I just realized that I forgot to mention what a wonderful quote this is. It's always the journey that matters, the end is seems always to be anti-climactic.
One of my practices over the past few years is to check in with myself at various points of the day and ask...
Am I at peace? Do I feel stressed? What do I feel in this moment?
Lots of folks say it is okay to feel those feeling of dis ease because the propel you make a difference. I think, a difference is made when I perform all I do without it! thanks!!!!
This is a truth I know very well, yet I have to seem to keep learning it. To set out on the journey, I seem to *need* a destination in mind. At that stage, it seems to be the destination which matters. It is only when I have got to the end that I realize it was the journey which was important.
And as time goes on, the lesson becomes clearer still. Looking back, I find I have often forgotten about the destination entirely. All I remember is the journey, and those with whom I shared it.
If our education system taught us this instead of competing, our world would be such a different place. We would take better care of ourselves, our community and the environment. We would en-joy the journey, we would appreciate and honor every moment and all beings, as much as the final destination.
Liara, Thank you. We are on the same wavelength and we have the same goals to illuminate people. I feel the same way about you. Brilliant minds think alike. ;D
SheR, I agree. Winning seems to be too much on the mind instead of playing the game. I must correct you, you ARE a winner - because you gained the valuable knowledge from the experience :D
Harmony, That is an excellent technique. God knows, it is easy to get distracted, stressed and dis eased. If we take the time to stop and breathe, we can take it all in.
Hi Simon, Do you think one needs a destination or does one's destiny dictate ones journey? There is a magical thing that happens when we are in the midst of journey-ing, we experience life at it's core.
Miruh, Our education is in need of an overhaul. Wouldn't it be nice if schools taught us to tolerate, to love, to honor? We can still do those things in our own life though. That will make the destination a frutiful journey.
I agree with this quote. How you treat the journey can affect whether the end is good or bad, but no matter what the end is the journey can make it worthwhile.

Liara,
You are right. The joy in the journey are the unexpected moments that refine and redefine your choices.

What a wonderful quote today Alexys for all of us to ponder.
I believe it is the journey. We are here to pass through this world and do our bid.
Then we will move on to the next plain which shall be glorious if we keep our faith and do our job.
Great share thank you:-)

Shinade,
I agree. We are here as part of the magical tapestry called life. Once this one is over, others lifetimes wait in the wings. :D

Hi Alexys!
I love this quote. So many people are just too conscious about winning that they forgot the learning experience of every race.
I'm not much of a winner but I've learn to cherish those experiences. :)

Hi Alexys….
Well personally I am concerned about the destination it makes all the difference….
If our education system taught us this instead of competing, our world would be such a different place. We would take better care of ourselves, our community and the environment. We would en-joy the journey, we would appreciate and honor every moment and all beings, as much as the final destination.
Thanks for an insightful quote, Alexys.
Happy Trails!

LS,
The destination makes the difference, but the journey makes life.
