Life Of Life

“Look to this day, for it is life, the very life of life.
In its brief course lie all the realities and verities of existence.
The bliss of growth, the splendor of action, the glory of power.
And yesterday is but a dream, and tomorrow is only a vision.
But today - well lived - makes every yesterday
a dream of happiness,
and every tomorrow a vision of hope.
Look well, therefore, to this day.”

~ Sanskrit proverb

Ancient Wisdom...

Yet, most of us are so "Modern" we can't grok...

Thanks for the reminder!!!

An excellent proverb, full of meaning.

I think that yesterday, however, is more than a dream, those tommorow can indeed be a vision.

I would prefer to think of yesterday as an object solidified like ice, whereas the future is reality in its fluid state like water.

Hi Robert,
They are aren't they?

Alexys Fairfield 11/13/2008 2:12 PM

Hi Alex,
There is something resounding about ancient wisdom. It stays with us.

Nathan,
I look at life as one continuous experience with rest points in between.

I think it suggests that yesterday is the past and we should concentrate on the present. So in essence tomorrow is also a dream.

Mark,
How are you? Wisdom is a lingering fragrance.

Life goes on. This is a respect to the one that have left us. For we know her spirit lives on within us and we are the ones to pass on her flame of life.

Our bodies are nothing but empty shells if we do not have the passion for living and have nothing to pass on once we leave this world.

Hi Sher,

That's so simple and true. It's sad that we foten forget this.
How are you doing, my friend?

Alexys Fairfield 11/17/2008 10:52 PM

Uber,

We seem to forget the simple things.

I am fine. How are you? Still not sure if your email is working right though.
