End Of The Year 2008
Wow. It’s finally come to an end. This year has been really interesting, absorbing and exhausting. From the disintegration of Wall Street, the economy dropping into the ocean, the subprime mortgage crisis, our new American president and that catchy song, American Boy that I can’t get out of my head.
It’s been a year of war, crises, births, deaths and rebirth. One cycle has ended as another one begins. Such is life, we end as we begin.
My brain is beginning to feel the burn and though I would like to continue, it’s glaring at me now saying, “Don’t you dare.”
I think it’s best to honor it’s wishes before it gets the whip out.
I am giving it time off until the end of the year (generous, I know.)
It wants me to thank you all for the love you have contributed here throughout the year. You have all made our year in more ways than you will ever know.
My brain and I love you. We love the time, thought, personality and heart that you have lovingly laid onto these electronic pages. From the bottom of our heart, we thank you.
May you all have a very Happy New Year and you experience the joy and blessings of the next phase of life. Embrace all that is in front of you and face your days with the enthusiasm of knowing that you make a difference.

despite all that stuff we are still here so things are never as bad as it seems sometimes..:)
I marvel at those form letters friends will send during the holiday season. You know, the ones that summarize their perceived highlights from the past year. A remarkable thing about one such letter was a girlfriend included her father's recovery from cancer as a highlight for her in 2008. I make a mental note so that I clearly visualize a similar recovery in 2009 for close members of my own family. May your own self-relfections continue to be meaningful and life-transforming. You are a blessing to your readers. You prompt me to reach deeper inside myself to rediscover things I have always known, but temporarily forgotten.
