Are You Getting Wiser?
Do you ever wonder if you are learning from your experiences or why experiences repeat themselves with different cast members? Often times we don’t realize that we are learning until after the lesson has passed.
We never know when wisdom is going to strike. It is not predefined, it has no rules, no timing and no form, but is does have substance. Tons of it.
Wisdom is a spiritual system of weights and measures that balances our thoughts, reasoning, logic and perception while deepening our collaboration with our spirit.
As children, wisdom commences when we learn not to touch fire or get burned. We will go through a series of wisdomatic exercises until wisdom is embedded into us. Initially it has to be taught, then we discover it on our own. The brilliant part of it is that we discover it as we go along.
Spiritualists and scientists stand on opposite sides as far as creation goes, but in wisdom, the divide is closed. Though it has spiritual overtones, wisdom is somewhat scientific.
In biology, mitosis is the process in cell division by which the nucleus divides, typically in four stages resulting in two new nuclei, each of which has the same chromosome and DNA as the original cell -- such is wisdom, it multiplies us.
Once wisdom is produced, it divides itself, not in four stages, but several stages because each time we discover it, we pass it on, and the person in which we pass it on, passes it on and so on and so forth. The end result is mind blowing. Wisdom comes at every age and every stage.
It is when the pupil becomes the master. Our internity awakens, sparks fly, and something inside of us ignites in a culmination of universal energies that expands our consciousness into a knowingness that is beyond the scope of the heavens. It may sound erudite, but it’s really simplistic in nature.
Wisdom is the pendulum of time. Achieving it is like a gong that bangs in our head when we realize that we have learned something. The vibration lasts a lifetime.
If you feel that you are not getting anywhere, step back and survey what lessons could be learned. Could you trust more? Trust less? Been more loving? Less loving? Would you have done something differently?
That’s wisdom. Learning to question, dissect and knowing what to accept after examination. Whatever you can do to improve your understanding is wisdom.
How do you know you’re getting wiser? What experiences stand out as having made you wiser?

So many lessons, each day a new awakening.I try my best to live in the moment, allowing me to see things for what they truly are.Lessons.I am open to them all.Painful or Happy ones..they all matter.
Thank you for such a wonderful post.Blessings to you.Cat
This is a brilliant post. I think most people who repeat the same cycles lack the courage to look in the mirror and point the finger of blame at themselves as well. I had a person tell me once that she would be happy if her enemy left the internet humiliated and raped publicly because it would exonerate her actions.
However, the truth is, no man or woman is perfect, so nobody should be exonerated.
I figured out something about myself this past year. I am very sensitive with the energies of others.
When someone begins talking smack around me, I begin to talk smack. If someone spews hatred, I begin to hate.
Do you see where I'm coming from here? This, by any means, does not exonerate my actions. However, when I do eventually learn the art of separating my energy from everyone Else's, look out world!
I will then have become a master!
And I doubt I will be affected by the hatred other people spew anymore.
The key to change is in realizing people gravitate towards people for a reason. Live with hatred. Attract more hatred.
The heart which refuses to see this will never change.
Hi Cat,
I guess the hardest things are the hardest lessons, but in the long run they make us stronger.
Thanks for the love and happy new year to you too.
Hi Shellys,
Thank you.
I agree. We do repeat the same patterns until we get the lesson. There's a lot of negativity that we just have to move past. Being sensitive to energies helps us know how to navigate through them without permanent damage. Keep mastering those moments of clarity. We do attract what we put out.
Thanks for your input. Happy new year.
I like to trust that if I'm still alive, I'm still learning. I think it was Richard Bach who wrote something like, "The true test to know if you've accomplished everything you need to in life: if you're alive, you haven't."
My greatest wisdom has been experiential. Concepts are one thing, but actually seeing them put into action brings that wisdom into my body on a cellular level.
Thanks for this thought-provoking (dare I say "wise"?) post!
Hi Alexys, I've just stumbled upon your blog. Hey, you've got such a nicely written post! :)
Anyway, I do agree that life is the ultimate lesson. Even it is the reason of our incarnation as human. To me, "living the moment as it is" is the key to learning the most from life's experiences. My... life gets even more interesting each time! :D
Thanks for the insight, Alexys. Good to know you :)
Hi Megan,
Very eloquently put it. Being alive is learning to be ALIVE. I agree, there's nothing like experiencing it for yourself and knowing your own truth. Thanks for sharing that marvelous quote too.
Hi Rizal,
Welcome. Thanks for sharing another perspective. No matter how many lives we live, they all offer different pieces of the puzzle - that's the real beauty of it.
Thanks for stumbling here. There are no accidents, only meant-to-be's. ;D
Very thought provoking post Alexys.
Hi Uber,
Thank you my friend.
Happy New Year!
Every choice we make is a teacher. All experience is meaningful. One may reach a place where all experience is perceived as equal and necessary in order to expand and grow. Everyone's path is slightly different but we are all on the road to inner healing.
Hi Liara,
Experience is gratitude.
