It's A Small Thinking World
Several years ago when I attended Disneyland, I headed for one of my favorite attractions at the time, “It’s A Small World.
Though I had been there before, I couldn’t wait to get inside and ride the boat in the Fantasyland part of the park.
The ride features 400 brightly costumed audio-animatronic dolls in the style of children of the world, frolicking in a spirit of international unity, and singing the ride's title track, which has a theme of global peace.
It evokes all sorts of childhood memories, it’s like being in the middle of a toy store (or for some, a nightmare.)
When I got to the waiting area, the line was massively long. There were what seemed like hundreds of people standing between metal bars leading to the ride.
The line was barely moving. I noticed that one line was completely empty. At first, I thought it was closed, but as I stared at it, I decided to investigate.
I walked through the bars and walked right into the attraction within seconds of arriving. I couldn’t believe it.
Minutes later, a few more people came and then the line was packed like the other lines.
The other people in the long lines were so preoccupied that they didn’t even notice that the line was empty. Instead when people walked to the attraction, they automatically got behind the other people waiting.
The line represented the fork in the road. I could have stood behind the other people and waited for hours, but I noticed another way inside.
Many people are oblivious to an easier way. They think they have to suffer or wait until the time is right. They think that they have to stay in a certain mindset and go with the crowd instead of thinking for themselves.
You don’t have to suffer. When you are tuned in to your surroundings, you can enlighten your own path. Enlightenment may take lifetimes or it can be the line of least resistance.
A small world doesn’t mean small thinking.
The fork in the road is really the fork within.

You echo my private thoughts lately.
You really are a spiritual Goddess.
I can't understand the mindset who is trapped in vindictiveness or negativity. Do thye not realize it only harms them and no the ones who refuse to be impacted?
Love your new tag photo-stunning.
Hi Uber,
That's because I am in your head, but more important - in your heart. Isn't that right?
I don't think those people know what they are creating in their lives. If they would only listen to us, they would be better off.
New photo is all encompassing isn't it?
Ahh... nice one.
Every individual is unique, every individual has his/her own unique way. But crowds tend to collapse infinite uniques into a common, shared line.
That is what I contemplate often about the society and mainly about religions.
Glad I stepped out in many aspects already. There is no sense of competition and comparations. It feels really good! :)
Hi Rizal,
I like how you put that, "...crowds tend to collapse infinite uniques into a common, shared line."
That's so true. Individuality does feel good.
Hey Lady A,
This week I came over later...but here I am! Before I comment on this article, I must share how much I enjoyed seeing you over at LS' place, you took your light over there :D.
About Disneyland...I never went there (not even to the one in Paris); but I have been warned that I might have to go there soon LOL...*nodding*.
"Many people are oblivious to an easier way."
Tell me about it *nodding*. People seem to always choose the most complex path...I wonder what does that mean? Of course, religion also teaches that the easiest path is the most dangerous one (however I many times question this statement, for it does not apply to all things in life, does it?)...
The Sheep Syndrome...many suffer from it nowadays. And it is not only when it comes to lines...
Lady A, excellent is the only adjective that comes to mind :D.
Have a superb week!
Quality Thinking Cheers
Hi Max,
You know you are never out of my heart.
LS needs love too. Since I have extra, it was my pleasure.
You have been warned about Disneyland. LOL
"People seem to always choose the most complex path...I wonder what does that mean?"
I guess people are used to the hard way and they don't want it any other way. They don't know that if the change their thinking, they change their life.
"Of course, religion also teaches that the easiest path is the most dangerous one (however I many times question this statement, for it does not apply to all things in life, does it?)..."
No. I think religion itself is an easy path because many people will just accept it as is, without questioning whether it is or it is not. Love is my only religion.
Thanks for gracing us with your lovely presence today darling.
Have a magnificent week too!
You lined up for “it’s a small world”!!!! Now if it was Roger Rabbit…or Indiana Jones…
I find that I learn most when I suffer…it is then that God raises His voice above my self imposed white noise…
Hi LSX,
It was several years ago, but I never forgot how the people were oblivious to the open line.
Do you ever really suffer or are you just resisting change?
God raises your inner voice. Why suffer when you can love?
Hello Lady X
Your point about lines and thinking outside the box is well taken…I remember years ago my wife and I were at Disney land with her sister and we found there was absolutely no line for Indiana Jones, we did the ride, got off and got right back on after a short loop…all of the other major rides had long lines…we did Indy about 30 times!
Well I accidentally drove my car off a 200 foot cliff…and I had my appendix out…lots of suffering…I think I would have to be a bit sick to love those events…but I learned a LOT…life is not about ending suffering…
Hi LSX,
When I was a child, we had the run of the whole park for two hours before they opened. We got to go on everything more than once.
See, I told you that I am special.
There are no accidents. You are so dramatic. Life IS about ending suffering because that is a man made concept. Suffering insinuates an ongoing malady. Life is not about suffering, but buffering from hurt. Learning, letting go and getting back on the horse (or in the car.)
Hi Lady A,
"You know you are never out of my heart."
*big smile* thank you! My heart has a huge flat in it for you too :D.
"LS needs love too. Since I have extra, it was my pleasure."
He does, he does indeed. Thank you so much, for I think that you & I can make him a softer man...
"I guess people are used to the hard way and they don't want it any other way. They don't know that if the change their thinking, they change their life."
I see what you mean *nodding*.
"No. I think religion itself is an easy path because many people will just accept it as is, without questioning whether it is or it is not. Love is my only religion."
That is true, the issue with religion is exactly that: people swallow whatever it is told to them without questioning whether it is poison or not, if all the ingredients are there or not.
"Thanks for gracing us with your lovely presence today darling."
It is my pleasure, darling :D!
"Have a magnificent week too!"
Merci *bowing*...
Cheers
Hi Max,
"big smile* thank you! My heart has a huge flat in it for you too :D."
If it is in your heart, I know it has lots of light.
"...I think that you & I can make him a softer man..."
They have lotion for that.
"That is true, the issue with religion is exactly that: people swallow whatever it is told to them without questioning whether it is poison or not, if all the ingredients are there or not."
Exactly.
To You Cheers!
Hi AleXys…
LOL Ahemmm girl…trust me it is dramatic to fly off a 200 foot cliff…LOL “Suffering is a man made concept”…alright I am not a half is cup empty Buddhist (as you know) but my dear suffering is real…we have real physical bodies…that feel pain and suffering…sure I can drive again but while laying in hospital it was suffering…
X Girls…
"LS needs love too. Since I have extra, it was my pleasure."
You know I always suspected that AleXys took pleasure in living me ;)
“He does, he does indeed. Thank you so much, for I think that you & I can make him a softer man...”
- ROFL You girls are simply X rated ;)
"No. I think religion itself is an easy path because many people will just accept it as is, without questioning whether it is or it is not. Love is my only religion."

- While I agree with the sentiment this however does not mean that one religion could be true and all the others could be wrong…I was an atheist who research all the main belief systems and rejected all but one…does that make me dull headed?
Hi LSX,
Just admit that you are a drama queen. Did you drive off of the cliff or were you driven off the cliff? Was someone chasing you?
Your body may have "suffered" but soul was unharmed.
"I can drive again but while laying in hospital it was suffering."
I am happy that you didn't lose your drive. We would have missed your spirit here. Despite the fact that you are a drama queen, you do offer great entertainment. Maybe we can get you a reality TV show.
LSX/Max,
"You know I always suspected that AleXys took pleasure in living me ;)"
I do take great pleasure.
"- ROFL You girls are simply X rated ;)"
Yes, we are X-cellent, X-ceptional, X-citing, X-cetera.
"While I agree with the sentiment this however does not mean that one religion could be true and all the others could be wrong."
Religion is a tool. No religion is more correct than another. Besides, God doesn't belong to any religion. God is bred in the heart.
"…does that make me dull headed?"
No, on the contrary. You are among the brightest heaven of invention - next to us.
