It highlights m...

Hi Alexys,
This is a powerful post. It highlights many of the economic catastrophes currently happening around the globe.

Yet at the same time it is a positive post. We are reminded that we can overcome anything if we only choose to do so.

Life is not easy. I do not believe that life was intended to be easy. We are hear on this plane at this time to learn.

And to learn we must be taught. How are we taught? There are many different methods of course but I am speaking of soul learning and character building.

For this we must have obstacles to overcome and rise above. Therefore, all through out history we can find millions and millions of stories to inspire us.

Some are famous such as the Priest you mention in this article and others are simple people who history will never remember and their tales never be heard.

Nonetheless they are soul survivors as well.

The dark side of human nature has been at one of it's highest periods for the last few decades. Greed and thought only for one's self has ruled.

And now we see the results. For those that have lived this life style I have pity. but, they now have their lesson to learn.

As for me and how I handle stress. I always cling to a simple prhase.

"This too shall pass."

Wonderful post Alexys...bravo!!

Hi Alexys,"Yes, it is the master surrealist pickin...

Hi Alexys,

"Yes, it is the master surrealist picking off points of his imagination."

That is an awesome description of his mastery...

"Three of our major auto makers are in trouble. Is it Salvador Dalí's?"

Yes, it is the master surrealist picking off points of his imagination.

"Oh yeah...and this week, Europe woke up with the daunting news that 350 thousand people are at risk of losing their job, in the car industry (it is a lot of people...and if we add to your numbers...my Lord...)!"

That is really devastating. Three of our major auto makers are in trouble. They are waiting for government assistance.

"I absolutely agree with you. If people have a deficit in their spiritual economy they may suffer from serious psychological issues that later on will reflect on the domestic economy, and consequently (if the numbers keep rising) it will affect the world economy. It seems that everyone knows the beginning but I wonder how many people actually read the whole book.

"We have to realize that whatever happens to us is not going to kill our Soul. It is only temporary. A state in which we can recover our connection to our source of power and love - our connection with our only source - the source within."

Wonderful statement. Is it Salv...

Hi Alexys!!

Wow...what a gorgeous image! Is it Salvador Dalí's?

Oh yeah...and this week, Europe woke up with the daunting news that 350 thousand people are at risk of losing their job, in the car industry (it is a lot of people...and if we add to your numbers...my Lord...)!

"Our spiritual economy - how we handle stress and loss - is just as vital as our world economy." - I absolutely agree with you. If people have a deficit in their spiritual economy they may suffer from serious psychological issues that later on will reflect on the domestic economy, and consequently (if the numbers keep rising) it will affect the world economy. If one's spiritual side is down, he/she may not be able to function properly...

Dickens quote is so up-to-date, isn't it? As I read it I was mentally applying it to our times...we are living times of light and darkness, we are in an epoch of belief and incredulity, hope has sprung yet despair will be the prevailing sentiment this winter...we have everything and nothing at the same time. Dickens was right, and his eternal words remain right...

"Our Soul survival is our raison d'être." - gorgeously said!

"Think of every person we meet as a connection. Even if it is a bridge connection to connect to a main source, every person is a bridge to our future." - bridge to our future...yes, that is true. And many times we don't even realise this; all the dark experiences we go through weave a bright future (be it here or in the after life or even in the next life). But we choose always to pull our own hair when facing dire situations, we get stressed, we wish to scream...we never choose to see that experiences and people are "a bridge to our future"...know what I mean?

"Treat everyone with respect - everyone from the CEO’s to the LOWEO’s (a term that I once heard someone use for anyone under a CEO.)" - Amen to that! "LOWEO"? Oh my...is it me or does that words irradiate contempt for people under a CEO? Perhaps it is just me...

"Having a personal army of people in our corner aids in our spiritual economy and helps us avoid needing a spiritual bailout." - beautiful *clap clap clap*! I fully agree with you!

"How do you handle stress?" - by following my mom's advice: remain cool; the tempest will go away eventually. Remain focused; if you get swallowed up by stress your mind will be blurred and you'll miss the solution to the problem.

"What would you do if you woke up and didn't have a job?" - I would move on to plan B.

"Do you have a plan B?" - man...you read our minds lol. Yes, I have a plan B (with a mom like mine, you have to have a plan B lol).

Aaah, you answered my question at the end of the article: it is Dalí's!! I don't have this painting in my Dalí "virtual collection"...but one can't miss his style and the mystic component in his work.

Lady A, fantastic post! And by the way: I love these quizzes at the end of your articles :D!

Spiritual Economy Cheers

Hi SheR,As human beings, we are all a little affec...

Hi SheR,

As human beings, we are all a little affected by the current state of the world.
