I agree that reality IS the dream and vice versa. During the debates he showed the higher road while Clinton walked the back alleys of lies, trying to denigrate his character.

Even when she lost the nomination, she did not want to concede and it took her days after much convincing from her party to thrown in the towel.

We do need principles and respect in politics, so often politicians forget what they are fighting for. We all have to live under one rule - love.

I congratulate you on getting a visit from Obama even if it was in the dreamworld.(It is said that this reality is also a dreamworld.)
I was so impressed with Obama during the primary debates with Hilary Clinton. I watched how respectful and affirming he was of her, even when she was trying to tear him down. He went on to defend her when the story of her lying was presented. Then again in the presidential nominee debates with McCain he showed his true mettle rolling with the punches that were being thrown at him. He stayed calm, unruffled, not reacting.
Perhaps one day we will speak of the Obama Principle: respect and honor for all people, even those who malign you with their hurtful words.
He is certainly a symbol of high principles which has been so lacking in today's politics. He is also only a man and a politician a pawn in the game. Yet, let us hope that unlike the last presidential administration, his inspiration is enough to turn the tide of indifference to the American people.

You probably already know I'm very excited about your President-Elect, even as far away as Australia. I agree he ran a superlative campaign, and he is without doubt an excellent spokesperson and therefore salesman. Those aren't bad qualities, in themselves. If they can be backed up with action - or if the masses can be inspired by them, better still - then surely change for the better is possible.

I believe so. And I believe he is going to be an effective and powerful leader for your country.

Seriously, Senator Obama took advantage of the negative political scenario to which the Bush administration contributed so much (we cannot forget that mistakes have been done; and that politics [just like anything in life] is about taking advantage of every single mistake one does) - so this is also a weak argument.

Comparing President Bush to Mussolini, Saddam Hussein or Kim Jong II is an absurd. Philip is so right: there is a difference between a successful campaign and a successful presidency...look at President Bush's case!
For us to glimpse at how a candidate's work will be at the White House, we must look at the people he chooses to work with him during the campaign, because if he chooses a competent team, and it is effective, then you may expect him to choose a decent administration.

LOL the argument that Senator Obama doesn't have experience, that he hasn't proved himself doesn't and didn't cut - it is too weak (specially after an experienced Governor with an experienced team at the WH, didn't do a very good job domestically speaking, ruined the international image the US had, worsened the diplomatic relations with Russia, so forth and so forth).
Senator Obama has proved that he knows people, that he is willing to do anything for them (his record in Chicago proves it), and that is the basic requirement to be a President: to know & serve the people.

Regardless of who is in political office, every human being perceives a reflection of how he or she feels inside. If you are a hopeful person with a positive attitude, then you will view your political focus as someone who inspires you to better yourself. If you sense discomfort inside, refuse to deal with the underlying issues, then you will take out your frustrations or cynicism on anyone who will listen. How you view or disregard politics is a step in your personal healing process. The question is, when will you consciously choose to deepen your understanding of who you are? Your perception of the world tells you a lot about yourself. Its up to you to learn what you choose.
